About Adrianne Dow Young

Adrianne grew up in Seattle in the 1980’s and early ‘90s. Her first job was at Bagel Oasis in the Roosevelt district. She was a bicycle messenger in downtown Seattle. She’s cleaned the Moore Theatre after a GWAR concert; worked in a boutique creative agency during the tech boom; lived in a 10 × 12’ shed in the middle of the high desert; rewired a 1910 craftsmen home; opened a restaurant at the end of the season in a resort town during the recession; lived at the dinner table and had more than her fair share of wine and champagne and the fun that goes along with glasses that make pretty noises when they clink.

While a handful of neurological disorders (POTS, EDS, Hyper mobility) have sidelined her as a chef, she still loves food and deep organic gardening.

At present, Adrianne creates bespoke skincare and primal goods through her company Persephone’s Ball.
