November’s Ten: The serpent that is AI
Does anyone get the feeling that AI is just creating content for itself?
The writing gigs out there that pay well are for AI companies that want to replace the need for writers. To apply for those jobs, it’s no longer considered a skill to write a cover letter and create a tailored resumé. AI reads the cover letters. AI reads the resumés. AI decides which AI user gets an interview.
It feels very Tulip Economy-ish. Or beanie baby-ish.
In looking at the creative marketplace, it makes a person want to go the opposite direction. It makes a person dive into a tiny tide pool and hang out with sea creatures. Or anything fantastic and real. Because I think that the AI serpent is going to eat its own tail.
New Project: Find the creatures that I’m supposed to co-create with.
