There’s a thing that is missing from my menus that I can’t not serve anymore.

For Art and Earth

Bitte Bitte Leavenworth began as a project to connect different food experiences with the community of Leavenworth. It was started prematurely and without much research. I am not sure that I’ll ever get to that goal, but I am proud of what Bitte Bitte Leavenworth became.

It has been a pleasure – a dream come true – to cook and serve food to the sound of people in creative struggle and in creative flow. On the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts campus, I’ve seen muddling students become focused, honed musicians in a matter of weeks. I have heard what true love sounds like while pushing a lunch cart through the lobby of the Canyon Wren. When the campus is alive with music, everything feels charmed.

My gratitude to the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, its staff and its founder is never ending. I feel fortunate to have been able to cook so close to the stage.

Food as an Act of Agriculture

Bitte Bitte Leavenworth’s services are changing to better benefit our local food cycle. Our renewed focus on food is to make the table a resource to the food cycle and not an ending point.

So we’re switching up the way we book private dinners and how we approach everything from booking to bookkeeping to a “farm first” approach.

Rocking this month’s retreat is the project’s first goal.

First step: Move into the kitchen.
