A Sunset Club Retool
It’s been a thick couple of months. I’m a little spicier for it but also much better off.
The Sunset Club hit a hiccup and won’t be able to do a horse share situation. An $800/month 34 year old horse is a lot. But somehow, I’ll figure out how to do this. She deserves to stay alive and healthy as long as she wants to.
The hope for this project was to inspire people to take care of those horses that don’t have a function. It seems amazing to me that someone can claim to love a horse and then let the horse’s fate be decided by its usefulness to other humans.
Owning and taking care of Dagrenning may seem like a folly, but it is actually to correct the folly of bringing a horse over to the United States and then abandoning her when she wasn’t fun anymore. I consider it my job.
Good for good’s sake looks different to everyone. .
So while Dagrenning’s boarding situation and future are back to a little fuzzy, I am certainly clear on this: She deserves committed people.
